I aim to create architectural spaces that suit your lifestyle and have a lasting impact on the way you live, work and play.
Your vision is our mission.
Cara believes in designing from the inside out; meaning flow and practicality of the living space is considered before the exterior. Doorways, closets and rooms are not squeezed into places they don’t belong. You can be sure Cara will guide you through what can be an extremely exciting but somewhat overwhelming process, together identifying your key priorities so that she can develop a space that goes beyond what you imagined.
While Cara has a style of her own, she adapts to the personality of her client or project with ease, always ensuring the clients vision, mission and budget is at the forefront of every conversation.
Cara Slater’s creative flair began at a young age, when most girls were dreaming of their perfect wedding day, Cara dreamt of her fairy-tale home. It came as no surprise to her family and friends when many years later, she decided to go into interior architectural design. After studying Interior Architectural Design at Boston House College in Cape Town, Cara took off into the world to travel and explore what the world had to offer. After three years of traveling and work experience she returned to her roots in Africa in 2003 and pursued her career in design.

“I appreciate beautiful forms of architecture and new designs. I watch what happens on the catwalks as it ultimately filters down to the home.” Cara is particularly proud of fulfilling her desire to travel and see the world as she enjoys soaking up diversity in cultures and how they influence the design world. Cara has backpacked through Cuba, Mexico and Jamaica; sailed through Bahamian islands; she’s been on business buying trips to New York, Hong Kong and India; and has visited many African and Eastern countries. Cara’s appreciation of all that is natural and cultural has influenced her cutting-edge design style.
